Magnetic Dent Removal

Below are a couple of excellent examples of the dent removal that can be done with magnets. The after pictures were taken before buffing and and cleanup when you can still see the scars from the dents.

French Horn Internal Clean

This French horn was pretty grungy. A good internal clean with a combination of ultrasonics, a nonharmful but effective solution, and a variety of brushes do the job.

Flute Mechanical Overhaul

On the left is the typical condition of a flute needing a mechanical overhaul. Silver is tarnished, pads are frayed, torn, and dried out, tenons need to be refit, there are minor dents, and the oil in the mechanisms is dried out causing keys to binding.

On the right is the typical result of a student flute overhaul. No replating has been done. The original silver plate has been polished, giving the instrument a like new appearance.

Oboe Crack Repair and Mechanical Overhaul

This oboe came in in rough shape. It had two cracks in the upper joint and desparately needed a mechanical overhaul.
